Owens Corning is ranked 165th on a list of the top 500 technology innovators in the United States, according to InformationWeek magazine. Of the manufacturing companies on the list, Owens Corning was ranked ninth.
Owens Corning’s ranking improved from last year when it was included in the 251-500 range. InformationWeek does not assign individual rankings for companies featured in this bracket.
“It is very exciting not only to be identified among the top leaders in business technology again, but also to improve upon last year’s ranking,” said David Johns, senior vice president and chief information officer. “To provide some context around this achievement, Microsoft Corp., a well-known leader within the IT (information technology) industry was only two positions ahead of us.
“The continued collaboration of our people is what drives our ability to succeed. Technology advancements are only half of the equation. Without talented people serving as the driving force behind it, our technology innovation wouldn’t be sustainable.”
InformationWeek 500 recognizes business technology organizations that have made notable improvement to how their companies operate. Rankings are based on a rigorous application process.
